For the second consecutive year (and for the fourth time in the past six years), the Churchland High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC has been designated a Naval Honor School “in recognition of its exemplary performance.” 

Portsmouth Public Schools has been selected for the 2024 Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) World Language Advancement and Readiness Program (WLARP) grant. The grant is worth $500,000. 

Portsmouth Public Schools Chief Communications Officer Dr. Lauren Nolasco has been named one of just four finalists from across North America for SchoolCEO magazine’s Excellence in School Marketing Award.
