The Fine Arts Academy program offers an honors level curriculum in visual art that prepares students to take Advanced Placement (AP) courses in their senior year. The art studio based curriculum explores various art processes, art history, and contemporary studio practice, while students develop a personal portfolio of artworks. This coursework will prepare students for college, scholarship applications and art careers. Portfolio development will include participation in multidisciplinary studio practice and maintaining a sketchbook, as well as participating in class discussions, peer critiques and student exhibitions.
