The Commons is open from 7 am to 3:00 pm daily for student use, small group work, and study space.  Students may request one on one research assistance, Google classroom refreshers, or just help locating the next title in a favorite series.

In addition to a book collection of over 9,000 volumes, our students have access to a wide variety of online materials, including ebooks, Infotrac, SIRS Researcher, Country Reports, and World Book online. All of these can be accessed by students at the library or at home using the login credentials provided to each student by library staff. A full listing of our subscription services can be found on the library's resources page.

The library also serves as the student password help center for Churchland High School. Additionally, once Chromebooks are distributed to the student body each school year, the library houses the IT help desk for students with computer related issues.

Ms. Betsy McGehee,
Library Clerk

Ms. McGehee has worked at CHS since 1992, when we transitioned from the High Street location to our current site. She started working in special education /main office. She finally found her niche in the library, thanks to Mr. Hylton. Ms. McGehee has been a class sponsor twice and served as the graduation coordinator for the last 7 years. She has two children and three grandchildren, whom she loves very much.

Mrs. Ariel Ralph,

Greetings CHS!
My name is Mrs. Ralph and I am one of the librarians that will be joyfully assisting you here at Churchland High School. I am very excited to be a part of the CHS family and I am excited to be a resource to Trucker Nation. A few interesting facts about me: I am a newlywed, I am a Gates Millennium Scholar, and I am the third Old Dominion University alumni in my family.
